Over the years, the company expanded into commercial and industrial electrical work, acquiring specialized equipment — including an 82-ft aerial lift — to handle large-scale projects. The Guimont name became synonymous with thoroughness in the trade.
Today, Rémy and Laurent Guimont lead the company alongside their father. With 40+ certified electricians on the roster, Michel Guimont Entrepreneur Électricien Ltée handles everything from condominium panel upgrades to multi-million dollar commercial installations across Greater Montreal.

Company founded
Michel Guimont registers Michel Guimont Entrepreneur Électricien Ltée. First residential contracts in Saint-Michel and Villeray.

Commercial expansion
Entry into commercial and industrial markets. First distribution projects at 600V and acquisition of specialized equipment.
2000
Aerial lift — 82 ft
Acquisition of the JLG 82-ft aerial lift, enabling large-scale commercial projects and elevated electrical work throughout Greater Montreal.
2005
Consumer's Choice Award — first of 12
First Consumer's Choice Award recognition. The distinction will be awarded consecutively through 2016 — 12 years of service excellence.
2015
Second generation joins the team
Rémy and Laurent Guimont join the company as master electricians. The transition of leadership begins, guided by Michel.
